Durra Fava Beans with Cumin, Sudanese style (Foul Medammes)
Fava beans, or broad beans, are often used in the cuisine of the south-eastern part of the Mediterranean basin. The basic ingredient of the popular Egyptian Foul Medammas dish. A perfect addition to stews and soups and an ingredient of salads.
Ingredients: broad beans 65%, water 32%, salt 2%, acidifying agent E330, cumin 0.5%, color stabilizer E386, antioxidant E300.
Serving suggestion: After heating in a pot, you can add olive oil, favorite spices (cumin, piri piri, pepper, salt) and serve with Arabic bread. Optionally, you can add lemons or tahini.
